We just finished a big trip travelling around Australia for 17 months. We've been volunteering for different environmental organisations, involving our two boys (8 and 6) and teaching them about the environment and conservation as we go. We have done weed removal, beach clean ups, nature refuges/homestead stay, camp hosting, and general work at a wildlife sanctuary. We have now settled in Cairns and are looking for some housesitting opportunities in Far North Queensland.
We all love animals and the boys never get tired of playing with all pets and are gentle and respectful. They are also well house trained, we are a neat and clean family. Police check and references available if required.
