Hi everyone,
My name is Emily, I am a 37-year-old Australian who has just arrived back from 5 months in Paris, where I've been teaching English and studying French.
I am looking for some house-sitting opportunities to get myself re-established. The share house I lived in in Newtown prior to coming to France had two lovely dogs (more later) and I have really missed living without animals!
I work as a freelance copywriter in real estate so I have plenty of flexibility as essentially every day I drive to a variety of addresses with hours to spare in between, so I would have plenty of time to care for your fur babies. Although I am out and about during the day to do the jobs, I am home the rest of the time to write the jobs up so your dogs/cats would get plenty of attention and cuddles at all hours (not just early morning and evening). I have a recent police check.
I am very active and get outside for a long walk twice a day – so you wouldn’t need to worry about your pets not getting enough exercise (if this is a requirement).
I owned a chihuahua for a few years and my family has always had dogs. In my last share house, I helped to look after two beautiful rescues, with very different personalities, so I am confident I have all the experience needed to care for your pet no matter the temperament, dietary requirements and obedience/training level. I've also housesat for my sister's bichon cross countless times.
I am clean, quiet and trustworthy/responsible. I don’t party at all, I read and write at home and watch the odd movie, so very low maintenance. While I don’t have a massive amount of experience house sitting yet, I have multiple character references and plenty of people who could personally vouch for me as I get started on this exciting journey.
Because I am a bit older than your average backpacker, I have the maturity necessary for this kind of job and will treat your home like it is mine. You won’t need to worry about a thing. I will be in regular contact with you about how it is all going (if you want).
