Retired single woman fulfilling my dream to house-sit my way around Australia. To date my house-sitting experiences include: feeding and caring for native animals including baby kangaroos; caring for dogs large and small, young and old, all levels of activity (feeding, walking, bathing, grooming); also feeding and caring for cats, fish, birds, horses, sheep, cows, alpaca, chickens, guinea fowl and geese; living in and maintaining a property (large house with extensive gardens), keeping it 'market-ready' for inspection by potential purchasers. These house-sits have been for periods from 2 days to 18 months. I travel in a small 4WD motorhome with my 13yo black and tan kelpie who started life as a working dog on a 60,000 acre sheep station in the Flinders Ranges in SA. She is slowing down and somewhat deaf, but still enjoys a lengthy walk. She has always been a very quiet dog and has got along well with the animals at our house-sits ... especially with other working dogs.
