We are a couple of easy-going 50-year-old professionals, married for over quarter of a century 😊
We have two adult kids who recently moved out of our family home to study/work interstate. As such, for the first time in decades, we are free to leave our lovely home in Canberra to enjoy living around other beautiful parts of Australia and indulge in our passions for long walks, swims, golf, reading and hopefully spending lots of time with various furry friends around the country.

Work
We are both government public servants, working in jobs which allow us both to work from home most of the time. Although each of us is committed to working occasionally from one of the many government offices around Australia, we are in a position to alternate those arrangements to ensure one of us can always be on the site of any home we are fortunate enough to care for. Due to the nature of our work, we both hold government security clearances/police checks and can provide character references upon request.

Pets
We are both HUGE pet lovers with a particularly soft spot for dogs 😊
Although we do not currently have any pets of our own, after our beloved 14-year-old Border Collie Bessie recently passed away, when in Canberra we co-parent a beautiful 10-year-old Labrador Sandie. We have both always had dogs in our lives (including German Shepards, Golden Retrievers and a couple of mixed-breed friends). As a family, we have also recently raised and trained a beautiful Guide Dog puppy named Uma, who successfully passed all her assessments and is currently a working Guide Dog.

Although we are extremely happy to house sit empty homes, including looking after plants, gardens and basic home maintenance, we would be particularly keen to look after homes filled with furry friends for us to care for 😊 Read more...
