We are a newly retired husband and wife team with our own home in Qld. Max loves mowing and looking after the gardens and is a neat freak. Maxine loves cooking and is pretty much a neat freak too in the home. We have our Son and his 4 boys living with us at the moment plus a Jack Russell and a ginger cat who belong to our son so won’t be travelling with us. We are so packed to the rafters we have decided to leave our son, his new partner and their children to themselves for a year or two (who knows) and travel slowly around Australia. We can’t think of a better way to travel and spend a decent amount of time in a new place getting to know the area than minding other people’s homes and pets.
We have been married for 40 years, own our own 4 bedroom home in coastal Qld and are happy to leave it in our son’s capable hands. We have owned successful restaurants in Tasmania and Qld and are experienced in the Motel industry with knowledge of how both should be presented and maintained. Our goal in this venture is to impress, which will only help to successfully lead us to more and more experiences around Australia. We are happy to walk the dog, fuss over the animals and make them happy in their own home.
