I'm available to sit from August 9th 2025.

My name is Rob and I'm a 66 year old single guy currently living in suburban Perth.

I have plenty of experience with all manner of domestic pets and farm animals, including horses, but I'm averse to cats. Sorry cat lovers ;)

I'm looking for property/pets/animals for at least a month at a time.

I was a stay-at-home Dad for three decades while we raised our family and built our mud brick off-grid home in central Victoria. This involved a lot of 'farm'-type work and familiarity with chainsaws, slashers, etc etc. I completed all parts of the house build including low voltage power, gas, water etc.

I'm also highly educated in science and teaching and very much enjoy managing a tidy home. During our time in central Victoria, I worked as a secondary school science teacher, builder, trades assistant, tutor, aged carer, agricultural scientist, swimming instructor, and gourmet food manufacturer. I also studied several degrees in science and education, culminating in a Master of Science in astronomy. I've also been a JP in WA for several years.

I can provide a WA Working With Children Certificate, police clearance, references, etc.

I want to move out of the family home where I've been caring for my frail parents (Dad recently passed away and Mum is near death in a nearby facility) and live somewhere for an extended period before I decide exactly where to live when I eventually relocate permanently.

I have a small business that delivers educational outreach sessions with a large portable telescope, rocketry etc. The business is currently in hibernation until I find my eventual permanent residence.

I have no pets, I don't smoke and I occasionally drink alcohol.

I need good access to the internet , and I prefer my own company and a quiet environment.
