Hi! I am a professional arts worker and writer currently undertaking a PhD in cybernetics at ANU. I am living vicariously through other peoples pet ownership and love to spend time in gardens and work the slow cooker. I'm pretty active, maintaining a regular weights and yoga routine; long walks are a daily thing—much improved when I have a furry friend to accompany me! Before Covid I was a working artist dividing time between Europe and Australia so I am very experienced at the nomadic lifestyle and adapting to new situations. So whilst I am in the beginning stages of building my official house-sitting credentials, I have tons of experience looking after homes and managing properties. In my post-pandemic life, I am more settled as I focus on the next 3 years completing my second doctoral thesis, in a new field of Cybernetics. What else? I lived in Indonesia (Jakarta and Yogya) for a period of ten years, while finishing my field work in late 90s to early 2000s. I have renovated and managed several artist run spaces in Sydney, typically large buildings with multi arts function. I've probably exhausted my urban appetite and now prefer a much more chill vibe and homely abode with small animals. I can work from home, but also need to make regular appearances at my university in Canberra. I am a non smoking non drinking home body; I've been travelling in my camper van since Covid ended my arts career. Honestly, though, I had a good run, and whilst the buzz and excitement of an art gallery or opening night show no longer exclusively lights my fire, I am more than happy to light a campfire or tend to others and their gardens and furry friends.
