More information about this house sitter

Retired business owner & chicken breeder of 22 breeds. Covid upset the apple cart so I sold my house & after the death of my daughter last year I decided to help people get away for holidays. People have made my life surprisingly good and I want to return the favor. I travel with my 13yo rescue dog Roy. He is an inside dog we are both still acclimatizing. I’ve come north so he doesnt have to suffer another cold winter he has arthritis in one paw.

I like to do things that are unique and different. I will wash a few windows if they are within reach or teach your dog new tricks. I’m very good at dog training so I get a lot of dog sits.

At the moment I am teaching Odie at my current sit how to fetch so when his owners get back they are able to play ball or stick with him. We have had our first successful retrieval. So adorable and so much fun. Look forward to meeting you and your pets and your home.

I had to train myself to understand the psychology of a dog. Once a dog knows you are the pack leader or the top dog they don’t give you any trouble. I love pit bulls because they are the most misunderstood dog. They are very spirited and they’re bred to fight so they challenge you more than any other dog. I am currently sitting a pit bull and turned him from a dog you couldn’t control when you walked down the street as he pulled you everywhere it was like a wrestling contest. Now he walks beside you and kids and other dogs don’t distract him at all. He is focused on the pack leader and what the pack leader wants. So knowing I can control a pit bull in a few lessons makes my house & pet sits exciting.
I hope I get the opportunity to help you out.
Cheers Renate.
