Update 2023
We are a retired couple who in 2019 returned from Queensland to the Caribbean and have been cruising on a Catamaran. We have decided to return to Queensland and hopefully housesitting as we did before in 2018/19. We had some wonderful experiences looking after pets mainly dogs and cats and look forward to doing that again.

We returned late Jan 2018 to Australia after a long and fantastic 8 year adventure sailing across the Atlantic and living on a yacht in the Caribbean ,we are now enjoying pet and house sitting in Queensland for a couple of years before settling down on land again.

We are a fit active , self sufficient , very practical retired couple who can take care of most problems if they arise ( Plumbing, Electrical , Gardening ,Mechanical, Swimming pools etc ) Gary ran a construction company for 25 years so he is pretty handy at most things .
We are non smokers and love animals,we are also very house proud and kept our boat in pristine condition from the engine rooms to the decks

We would treat your home and pets with the same care,attention and respect .
We also became very computer literate after living on a boat for so long and could send you updates/photo's/Skype/facebook of your pets etc if you would like while you are away.

We also have recent police clearances .

We used to live in WA before going cruising ,but are now looking to experience different parts of Queensland together with having some animals to look after and enjoy there company .

Before we set off sailing we had a beautiful Border Collie (Tramp) for 17 years and a very large cat (Monster) ,they where born around the same time and became inseparable ,they even used to come on walks together .

One of the main things we missed living on a boat was not being able to have pets on board full time due to visiting many countries with difficult rules concerning animals , though we did have a few day visitors ,which was always great fun.

We where asked to Pet Sit and look after property whilst in the Caribbean a few times ,by people who we had met and became friends with, we did this while our boat was in the Marina during Hurricane season .
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will gladly supply references from past and recent house sits .

From our previous experiences of House/Pet Sittings we feel this really gives us an insight and chance to enjoy the local life style of areas in Queensland we have never visited before .

We are now on our seventh house sit since coming home , the only problem we have is leaving these wonderful animals each time we move, we had forgot how much fun furry friends are, they will all be welcome to come and stay with us anytime once we decide to find a home and settle down.

We are very flexible with dates and locations as we wish to explore as much of Queensland as we can ,together with the opportunity of making new friends with two and four legs along the way ,we have uploaded a few photo's of the wonderful animals we have had the pleasure of looking after so far .
