Hi good people

I am a 58 year old single woman with no pets or dependents. I am quiet & respectful, clean & tidy, responsible & reliable. I am very clean living - do not drink or smoke and would never even think about using drugs.

I have had considerable experience housesitting/caretaking and caring for animals including pets (cats, dogs, fish, parrots), farm animals (goats, cows, chooks, ducks , guinea fowl, quails, peacocks) and wildlife (especially frogs & birds).

Whilst I love all animals, I am undeniably an unashamed cat lover!

I am also deeply in love with whales and dolphins and would love to housesit in locations where I can view them easily. A housesit in Hervey Bay during humpback whale season would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a keen light gardener, fond of growing veges and ornamental plants. I believe I have Green Thumbs.

My ageing parents live in the Cleveland area and I have returned to Brisbane (after 25 years living in far north Queensland) to spend quality time with them and provide whatever support I can.

My hope is to find a series of cat sits or house sits with no pets in the Corinda-Redlands-Logan-Gold Coast areas over the next year or two. (2024+2025).

I'd prefer quiet (and if possible, natural) locations and of course would love to spend time in comfortable, clean & tidy homes. I am very much a house proud home body and will treat each home as if it was my own.

I will be home and present with your cats and treat them as if they were my own too. It is my honour to look after & enjoy your little furry "angels" while you are away.

I will also enjoy any wildlife present in your area.

I am an honest communicator so hopefully we will nut out all the details easily beforehand and communicate smoothly throughout the sit.

I do have references available.

Unfortunately my "stuff" is all in storage in far north Queensland so I don't have access to photos at this stage.


Experience:
Caretaking:
* 15 months live-in caretaker (with an ex partner) at a rainforest property south of Cairns, looking after home and grounds plus animals (1 cat, 1 dog, 1 cow, 2 goats, umpteen chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, quails and a few peacocks).
* 2 weeks live in caretaker at a poultry farm on the Atherton Tablelands tending chickens, ducks, goats, 2 cats and a fish.

Non caretaking:
* 3 years living on a cattle property on Atherton Tablelands (observing & enjoying cattle, learning about their nature and care).

Housesitting:
* Regular house & cat sitting in Port Douglas (2-5 weeks).
*Various short term house sits (7-14 days) without pets in Cairns and south of Cairns.
* 2 weekend dog sits in Brisbane-Gold Coast area.

Wildlife:
* 10 years experience as an education (wildlife/park) ranger in Brisbane area and south of Cairns.
* Experience raising tadpoles

My pets:
* Childhood: cocker spaniel, chooks and parrots (budgies, galahs, rosella) plus regular time at relatives' farm (cattle, pigs, horses, chickens, dogs)
* Adult: 2 cats 6-7 yrs total
* Adult: some experience with a boyfriend's dog
