I was brought up In the country but school, university and work has seen me live in Sydney. I am a retired history teacher, a widow, a parent and a grandparent.
I live in the centre of the Sydney CBD.
My main interests are the performing arts, travel, photography, learning French, reading and movies.
I have travelled extensively overseas, often for months at a time, and due to covid, have now travelled extensively in Australia, though WA has yet to be done.
I have rented my property out for 12-24 months as I intend to live in Canberra for a 12 month trial.
I have been to Canberra many times but deciding where to live has led me to the idea that house sitting will provide an opportunity to experience a range of different suburbs which hopefully will give me a better idea as to where I may "hang my hat".
I have been a pet owner, having had 2 German Shepherds, and cats, budgies and chickens; currently I am looking after my son's cat while staying with him. I am very happy sitting in the garden, watering plants, walking dogs and feeding pets. I haven't been a house sitter before but I have stayed in lots of different types of accommodation on my travels.
