About this house sitting position in ALBURY

Hello! We are Derek and Lisa. We live in a comfortable 3 bedroom home on an elevated block in Albury. This means exceptional views including the colours of sunrise and the twinkling lights of the town at night. The house is a literal stone's throw from Nail Can Hill. It is a 500m walk to one cafe and a picturesque 1.5km walk to another. Also close to Albury Botanical gardens and only 4.5km from the centre of town. It’s a 5 minute drive to the Victorian border.

We have a low maintenance garden and given this sit is for winter, pretty much no maintenance. Just a few indoor plants to keep alive although I am not overly attached to them - it's all about the pets being a priority for us.

We have ducted heating, evaporative cooling and there are also split systems in 3 rooms. Main bedroom houses a KS bed. There is also a pull-out double sofa bed in the spare room.

The block is quite steep. There are 6 concrete steps, or a driveway with steps built in, to walk down to the house from the street. There is a brand new handrail. To get to the backyard out the back door, there are 8 steps, also with a handrail. Our street is also at the crest of a hill. Only those with good knees need apply :)

Our very well cared for pets are 3 indoor cats aged 4, 6 and 8 years old and our two 6 1/2 year old Labrador sisters. The dogs need a daily walk and there is certainly no shortage of picturesque walks in the area. They can be walked together by 2 people if time is an issue, but they are better behaved if walked separately.

We also live about a 7 minute drive from a great dog park which is a good alternative, or addition. Car will be available.

All animals are fed twice per day - plus bedtime treats! The dogs sleep inside in the back area of the house. The cats are all indoor only cats and sleep wherever they like - which may or may not be with you! Read more...
