About this house sitting position in Brighton East

We are couple in our late 50’s and rent. We maintain a comfortable, clean and tidy two bedroom + study art deco home that is easy to live and relax in.

Our home is located within 250 metres walk of a tram stop and bus and train connections are not far away. Two cafes, a pharmacy, late night super market and a couple of restaurants and bars are five minutes' walk away in Brighton East Village. If you want to visit a Bay Beach, it's about 5km walk or a five-minute drive away.

The rear yard is huge and fully fenced with a low maintenance garden with a long driveway that will accommodate two cars off street.

We are looking for a house minder and pet sitter who can take care of our two Staffies (5 & 12 years old) and 9 year old cat while we are on three week overseas break. We also have 3 goldfish that need daily feeding.

Both dogs are inside/outside trained and allowed on the furniture and sleep with us at night. The cat will probably find a little hideaway in the house until she gets used to you.

They have been minded before so co-sleeping is not expected from pet sitters, they just need to know you are in the house nearby and they are safe. They are Staffies so big sooks!

They need to be leash walked once a day or every other day - the yard is huge so if you miss a day, it's not a problem. They will get antsy if you don't walk them at all though, so it's important they get exercised for at least 30 - 45 minutes a day if possible..

I am a leadership coach and work from my home office every day so they are used to having someone in the house. My partner works in the city. They respond well to a calm environment and the house rules and routines. We like to introduce any pet sitters over a period of weeks to make the transition as smooth as possible.
