About this house sitting position in Chelsea

Hello community!

We are a young family of 4 (3 hoomans and a 1 yr old kelpie/dalmatian doggie). We live in Chelsea, 800 m away from the wonderful beach and 800 m away from the most wonderful dog park in Melbourne I would say! There is even a pony club next to the park! And 800m away from the train station. It's a quiet area, family and dog friendly. We live in a large house with a large backyard and we all love the beachside living.

We are going away to visit family for the month of October and are looking for someone to stay in our house and look after the house and our doggy. Approx 5 weeks.

You will have access to own room (queen size bed) and own bathroom (spare room and spare bathroom that we generally don't use) and obviously the entire house. We have all the required facilities, ie washing machine, dryer, dish washer etc. The Woolies is also walking distance and all other coffee shops and restaurants etc.

The doggy is full of beans, is a fairly well trained dog, with an occasional jump when she gets excited, but easily told off not to. She is not allowed on the couch or to go into the rooms (carpets in the room aka would become smelly).

She requires 2hrs of exercise per day minimum, so a morning and evening walk/run are a must, no matter the weather. We usually mix it up between a beach run in morning and evening run in the park, but whatever suits. She is off leash in an off leash area and has a good recall. She is a social butterfly and plays well with other dogs on the beach and in the park. Most owners know her as she steals balls from other dogs but I always carry spare ones to exchange her theft. During the day she usually chews on her bone/kong and enjoys snuggles and naps. Sometimes she also gets a 30min lunchtime walkie.

We are a clean family, so we are looking for someone who will maintain the house as their own (ie we vacuum once or twice a day and clean after ourselves as we go etc). We would also be happy to pay once a week for a dog walker to come and do a walkie for her if you have to be somewhere etc and/or one /two weekends away at her favourite pet sitter (at their house)-to give you a chance to explore the area or go out etc. She should not be left alone for more than 4 hrs as she is very social and would become sad and/or destructive if alone for too long.
