About this house sitting position in Daceyville

Home: Separate/private fully contained ground level home (within a 2 storey house), idyllically located in a leafy and quiet suburb extremely close to public transport (within 15 minutes with tram/bus), eastern suburbs beaches, walking trails, parks, golfing ammenities and neighbouring suburbs (Randwick, Bondi, Maroubra, Coogee). Although upstairs home is always tenanted by 4, it is still unusually quiet and private. Upstairs tenants do not have access to private courtyard. Downstairs home includes large European kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, internal laundry and private paved back yard. Home has a cottage-like cosy feel so would be absolutely lovely to experience in the winter months.

Cat: We have a 4 year old female cat who has an extremely sensitive and shy demeanour. She does much better with low-key, gentle natured companions and takes a long time to warm up to people. She can experience anxiety, reclusiveness and fright if she is uncomfortable so it is of upmost importance that we find her the ideal pet-sitter in order for her to feel safe, at ease and settled. She does not do well with excessive amounts of handling and is quite independent but loves having a calm companion pottering around the house. Someone that is comfortable handling felines would be required; administering medication, light grooming and dealing with unexpected issues. If you can't see yourself being patient with a suspicious kitty or are out of the house for most of the day, then you would probably not be the right candidate. We had left her with a pet-sitter once before and she did not do too well so finding the right person which allows our cat to be looked after in her own home is crucial. Ideally, a mature lady who works from home and who has had experience with cats would be great. I would love to book in someone that would treat our home and our sensitive little kitty with lots of love and care so we can also relax and enjoy our time away.

Extra Responsibilities:
-Watering indoor and outdoor plants
-General cleaning and light maintenance (basically leave the home how you found it)
-Being a point of contact to upstairs tenants in the case of an emergency
