About this house sitting position in Darra

Two friendly mature cats and a productive vegetable garden need a live-in carer while we are on holiday for 6 weeks. The dates are locked in; the right person/couple will be able to commit to the full duration of our trip. You must genuinely love cats, and be available to bring them inside around sundown every night. They are very affectionate gentle cats who love a good pat and might choose to cuddle on the couch with you.
The garden is well mulched and should be fairly low maintenance, but we do ask that you keep our precious fruit trees and tropical plantings alive with regular watering in dry weather. Harvesting and eating the produce is encouraged. Lawn mowing negotiable.
Located on a private rear facing block, you will find plenty of tranquil relaxing spaces in the shade, surrounded by tropical plants and mature fruit trees. The house is renovated with a great kitchen and bathroom, just 8 min walk to Darra train station and shops. There are ceiling fans and aircon in every room. The large guest bedroom has direct patio access, a desk, smart TV, queen sized bed, and bedding provided. Plenty of off street parking is available.
Sorry our home is not suitable for extra pets or visitors, and we prefer a single or couple without children.
There is no “rent” payable, but we hope to find a guest who is happy to cover their own electricity consumption.
