About this house sitting position in Hawthorn

We are looking for an individual who wants to be swamped by cats to look after our fur babies.

Before we start, I will be upfront and say that one of the fur babies requires insulin injections twice a day, so you would need to be comfortable doing that with an Insulin Pen. It's not a difficult thing but it is a critical part of his wellbeing.

So to continue with the introduction, my wife and I are semi-retired couple who enjoy travel and head to Europe each year. We live in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne (Hawthorn), close to tram and train services as well as a vibrant shopping strip and cafe lifestyle.
We are allowed a break from our babies and are travelling abroad later in the year and looking for someone to help us take care of three fur babies for 2 weeks. They are cuddly once they become accustomed to your presence.

We have a rascally Tabby (Merlin) and a chilled British Blue (Sterling). There will be a 3rd, a Ginger Tabby (Leo) who will join our two fur babies for the period as his servant will be joining us for 2 weeks.

We are looking for someone who has had some experience with administering medication by injection (Insulin Pen) as Sterling requires daily insulin shots at breakfast and dinner times .

The apartment is a sunny, light-filled and spacious single-bedroom apartment, on the top floor with a balcony and lovely views out over leafy Hawthorn. The building is a quiet place with friendly neighbours, leafy outlook and a lovely tranquil surrounding in this busy city. There are external security cameras (visual only) around the perimeter on the ground of the building on the ground floor.
Our home has a split system air conditioning system, portable heater and cooling fan, an infrared sauna and a BBQ on the balcony. There is full internet, TV streaming services and free to air TV. While there is not stereo system, there is a blue tooth sound system to enable you to link too.

There is a tram stop 50 mtrs away on the 70/75 tram line, with a short ride to the city via Richmond or to the opposite direction to the Camberwell shopping strip and market. The train station is a short walk away too the Flinders Street, Belgrave, Lilydale, and Alamein lines at Glenferrie Station.
There are a couple of local cinemas close by, a great cafe restaurant strip and shopping close by. Coles, Woollies and an IGA are close. Close by there is the Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre (HALC) with a full gym and swimming pool facility. Read more...
