Hi everyone,

We’re on the lookout for someone to look after our beloved dog, Hank.

Hank is a gentle giant – a 7-year-old Rottweiler who loves long walks (or runs) and even longer naps. He’s incredibly easy-going and a joy to be around. Despite being a little older, he’s still very fit and comfortably walks up to 10km, depending on the weather.

We first met Hank two years ago through house sitting, just after moving to Australia. He was one of our very first sits, and we looked after him several times before eventually adopting him when his original owner relocated overseas. So we completely understand what it’s like to be in your shoes – and don’t worry, we won’t bombard you with messages asking you to read bedtime stories to our dog. A few photos here and there will do just fine!

While Hank is super chilled, he’s also strong – around 43kg – so we’re looking for someone confident with large dogs. He doesn’t get along well with small dogs, who often bark at him. While he rarely reacts, it’s not unheard of, especially if he feels cornered. Typically, he just cries in uncomfortable situations, but we’d prefer to avoid that kind of stress for everyone.

We have a beautiful home with a big garden filled with banana trees, guavas, limes, and more – help yourself to the fruit! All we ask is that you water the garden and mow the lawn while we’re away.

One more thing – we might have chickens by the time we leave. If so, you’ll get fresh eggs each morning – and we’ll just ask you to feed them too.
