Yay...we're off to the Great Ocean Road for Easter !

With a spare bedroom and a spare bathroom there is plenty of comfortable space for the sitter to stay in...and they can relax in our swim spa!

Our oldest dog is a male de-sexed American staffie (8 yrs), loves other pets when we are at the park but not sure how he'd behave with another dog inside HIS house. I don't let him off at the park as he plays roughly (like all staffies do) and I don't want him to inadvertently injure smaller dogs. He only needs about a 30 min walk in the morning but would love a 2nd one in the cool of the evening but not essential. My puppy (also a de-sexed male Staffie/cross red cattle - 4 yrs old now) has working dog in him and will not run away....he knows his name and can walk off lead in a park so long as the older dog stays on lead.....and you are happy to throw a tennis ball for him...repeatedly!

Plus we have a teeny, tiny Quaker parrot who is a seed eater and will be OK to remain in his cage and just get food + water top ups til we get back! He can be a bit bitey! Although if you’re experienced with birds he’d love some out-of-cage time. Will happily sit on your shoulder & hang out with you inside the house (only) … loves to eat what ever you are eating too! His beak so small so not too dangerous!

We have a mini oasis at the back of the house; perfect for sitting reading; drinking coffee and enjoying some down time. We are 5 train stops from the Sydney CBD and there are train, bus and tram stops in walking distance (plus about 7 pubs and numerous restaurants) so easy to get around. We are in the Portuguese capital of Sydney so you may enjoy starting each day with coffee and a Portuguese egg tart that is to die for!

You are welcome to come on a weekend for a meet and greet at a time that's mutually convenient in advance to see if you think you'll be able to walk my two! Plus if you need accom a few days before we go and/or a few days after we get back, that is fine too!

At that time of the year, the plants will need a drink … depending on the heat maybe every other day … ideally you’ll water everything while you’re staying too unless it rains! Read more...
