About this house sitting position in Stieglitz

Hi, we have a comfortable, peaceful and warm home in Stieglitz, near St Helens, East Coast Tasmania (the most temperate part of Tassie). St Helens is a regional town, the largest industries are tourism and fishing, the population is 2,600. The closest airport is Launceston, which is 2 hours away.

I always leave the house and garden immaculate for your enjoyment.

We have a gorgeous wood fire, and equally gorgeous, playful and affectionate tabby cat to keep you warm. Lucy cat loves everyone, and everyone loves her. She is full of personality, and she is very used to house-sitters. As a rescue cat who grew up in a wood heap for the first 3 months of her life, she is accustomed to being outdoors during the day (tho will happily hang wherever you are), but always comes in before dusk for the night.

Sit and relax in the front or back gardens, PYO veggies (garden is very low maintenance in winter but might need a little watering), enjoy cooking in our recently renovated kitchen. Read a book, go for a walk, enjoy the many outdoor activities on offer here in paradise, or explore the lovely cafes in the area.

5km to centre of St Helens. 800m walk to waterfront and a walking beach. 8km to 4 other beautiful beaches. 15min drive to Bay of Fires (recently voted best beach in Australia).

Close to mountain bike trails and bike track into town, and if you're a keen mountain biker, you're just over an hour's drive to Derby and even closer to Blue Tier.
There are some great walking tracks in the area, nearby and beyond. You can walk over Peron dunes to a coastal beach which is a 1.5 hours return walk. If you like to fish, you've come to the right town, with a jetty 800m away.

We value our privacy, so we do stipulate no visitors to the house please. You must be a non-smoker, non-vaper, and non-substance taker, and a cat lover.
