About this house sitting position in Torquay
My home is a modern low level, duplex.
It has an open plan kitchen & lounge; with a 55" TV, lounge suite & 3 aquariums in one part.
A step-down to where the dining/craft table, sunroom area is. It has 2 comfortable chairs, a display cabinet, & a cat tower.
My bedroom has a queen size bed & large TV. Also an ensuite, and a cat tower.
One other bedroom has 2 single adjustable beds. There is a large bathroom, with shower & bath, right next to it.
I have a beautiful garden with a Summer House, which is my Cat's playhouse.
It is also a shade house full of plants, with an outdoor double seater & table in one part, & a chair in another.
It's great to spend time out there with the cats, a cuppa or coffee, & reading.
A deck provides easy all weather foot access directly to the clothes line.
On the deck is a table & chair; & garden cupboard.
(There is a shed for larger garden things in the utility part of the yard.)
The 1ST & most important aspect, of this home sitting, is the care of my two beautiful, gentle, lovely Cat's, PIPPIN & WILLOW.
They will be nearly 3 yrs old at the time of the sit.
They are indoor cats, and because they are not allowed to roam freely outside, they have their outdoor playhouse.
Whenever they are in their playhouse I never leave the property, and ask you to do likewise. Of course, being in the house or garden, is fine.
Pippin & Willow really are gentle cats as neither have ever bitten me nor scratched on purpose.
Willow usually sleeps on my bed at night and for my naps, and Pippin goes between my bed, my bedroom cat tower, or their bed in the lounge. Willow claims the same bed during the day.
They are brother's from the same litter, with
their mother being Siamese, & father a tabby, but they are very different boys.
Pippin has thrown to a full gorgeous orange tabby. A joyful leaper, jumper, pure hunter IF he was allowed out, & at the end of the evening a smoochy sook. 😉 😄He is however, a very sensitive cat and would need winning around.
Willow has thrown to a beautiful/handsome Flame Point Siamese.
He is more confident than Pippin, & loves his food. Also snuggles when he wants them, along with face smooches which he gives in abundance.
They require lots of love, play & routine, as well as patience, as Pippin in particular is timid.
I will leave a booklet with what is involved with food, time in the playhouse, & evening inside play. I won't tell you here about their play, but it'll give you a good laugh. 😂
As I am disabled I can't carry a carrier so they jump in their pram & we visit the garden, they watch me hanging out clothes, & we go to & fro from their playhouse.
I've clicker & treat trained them to the pram, and also to do hi-5's & other tricks.
It would be optimal if a couple of visits could be done before the sit. This would give Pippin & Willow a chance to get to become comfortable with you.
I know this may not be possible, but there are always video chats.
2ND. I have a tank of cold water Blackmore fish; another of Goldfish; one with many tropical fish, & a smaller tank with a Betta fish & mates.
They require feeding twice a day.
Possibly one water change will be needed for each tank.
Again, what needs to be done & how, will be in the booklet.
The garden will need watering as required. Mainly it's only pots & the small house gardens that do, as the trees are quite mature now.
The Lawns are mowed by a contractor.
I have WIFI, & subscriptions to Netflix & Stan, as well as the free to air, 9Now, etc. TV. If you are tech savvy feel free to add them to my big TV in the lounge room. I will be appreciative. Netflix is already on it.
By car everything is only apox 5 minutes away... cafes, sea, shopping centre, fast food, Markets, & The Boat Club; then 10 minutes to everything else.
For better or worse there is a wonderful bakery just around the corner.
As I can no longer drive the garage is now a room for sewing, music, kitty playroom & my mobility scooter; but there is plenty of space in the front to park.
I am hoping to do even more travel while I can, so there should be many returns for the person with the right fit for all of us.
Thank you for your consideration & I look forward to meeting you (both). Read more...
