I am 49yrs old and live with my 13year old daughter and 52yr old partner Tullamore in Byron Bay Shire. We are both university educated, having completed a few degrees, and I am employed as a Health Professional with QLD Health. Tullamore works for an international IT company as a Senior App Architect (coder) and he also has a degree in chemical engineering but chose to work in the field of his second degree in Computer Science.

We are non smokers and are all triple vaccinated have had our flu shots. We are not interested in back to back bookings as we don’t do this full-time to save on rent/mortgage costs nor are we travellers whose priority is possibly sightseeing. I actually had a lightbulb 💡 moment and thought it was possibly a fun way to have a holiday with Coco after I separated from her dad; like a no cost AirBnb with the bonus of being pet inclusive.

Tullamore’s attendance depends on work projects although post pandemic he has worked pretty much solely from home as opposed to pre pandemic he worked Monday to Thursday in the Company’s Sydney office and spent Friday plus the weekend at home; he also previously had to occasionally travel internationally for work although this all ceased since the pandemic. And his Company has indicated it is doubtful they will return to their prior mode of working; except for a few yearly interstate and overseas work conferences.

We love animals and my daughter is a very caring gentle girl who shares my natural affinity toward animals. I understand the importance of being at home for the majority of the time at any house sit to ensure your pets feel secure; we will love them as if their were our own. I also enjoy hobby gardening, walking dogs and am neat and respectful of other peoples' homes.

If I confirm a house sitting booking I will not let you down, unless it was the most dire of emergencies, as I understand how stressful it must be when house sitters cancel close to your departure date.

Tullamore grew up fostering guide dog puppies as a child and is also very fond of animals. Happy to chat further by mobile, FaceTime or Zoom or even meet in person if proximity allows it.

Previously if it’s not a close house/pet sit I come at least a day or two early to meet you and your fur babies in person and go through instructions, routines, emergency contacts etc.

I will happily send you updates and photos to ease any worry you may have as to how your pet/s are coping in your absence. My daughter has done Animal Welfare League school holiday courses learning how to care for a variety of rescue animals awaiting adoption. I’m mainly familiar with fur babies such as dogs and cats but as a child grew up with many pets such as horses, chickens, ducks, budgies, guinea pigs, mice, cows, dogs, cats and also helped my parents care for the occasional injured rescue wildlife animal.
