More information about this house sitter

Hi Everyone!!

My name is Jessie and I am a 36 year old single social worker! I do have a fur baby who is the ABSOLUTE LOVE OF MY LIFE. I love all dogs and cats more than life itself!! My baby’s name is Malakai and he looks like a fox and is about the size of a fox. He is a bit special needs as he has a trauma background so he does have bad anxiety, but he has come a long way and I manage this well.

I walk Malakai and any other dogs I care for morning and evening or more/less if needed. I feed him a special diet and give him medication everyday so I have experience in these areas if your pet requires things like medication.

I will be on leave from work so besides the gym/yoga I will be spending a lot of time with the fur babies. Walks, exploring, beach!

I love animals more than anything and if I wasn't a social worker, I would have been a vet nurse (I did a course in college at Tafe).

When I was at uni and living in group houses I did a lot of animal and house sitting and can provide references. I am an honest, respectful, reliable and trustworthy gal. I know those words are easy to say and it can be hard to really know and trust a stranger in your home and possibly with your much loved pets. However, I am willing to provide or share any information or answer any questions with you that you might have.

Currently in life I am desperately looking for an opportunity. I am based in Canberra. I was born here and although I have travelled, I have always lived here & and I feel I need a change as things are just stagnant. I travel to Brisbane every month for work and really love it up there. I also go to Sydney (Chiswick specifically) frequently to see my beautiful 12 year old niece.

I’ve had a big 12 months losing my mum to addiction and massive financial and work stresses and pressure. I am a social worker supporting vulnerable children and families in the community sector and I am very burnt out in this industry.

I love Brisbane and enjoy Sydney and I see myself and the love of my life, my fur baby Malakai, moving to either city. But I’m scared. I’m someone who stays in my comfort zone due to fear and it’s holding me back. I seem to always find reasons to stay in Canberra.

I have heaps of leave and long service leave. I don’t want to take my leave and just do nothing. I would love to go overseas but paying a mortgage on my own and the increase in living I just can’t afford it.

I am seriously looking for a 1 month, 2 month, even 3-month opportunity to house/pet sit in Brisbane and/or Sydney. I really like and know West End, South Bank and Fortitude Valley or Sydney city and New Town. I don’t know if I’m asking too much, but if anyone has a big trip coming up and is looking for a sitter, I would love the opportunity to be allowed to come to Brisbane/Sydney with my fur baby and pet/house sit.

I am in a serious lull in my life and really need a change and struggling to find a way out. But the idea of this opportunity makes me happy and excited again and I would cherish it.

Aside from being hard working, honest, reliable, respectful, kind, open, and OBSESSED with animals, I am a clean freak and very house proud. I love having a neat and tidy space and will always treat somebodies home as if it were mine.

I am a vegan (but can still be in a non-vegan home and feed animals non vegan food) and aside from trying to eat a vegan diet, I love animals and feel we almost don’t deserve them because they are so beautiful and special. Taking excellent care of my baby and the animals I care for is REALLY important to me and I want them to be happy and healthy, safe and adored.

If you have a big trip coming up, and think I might be suitable please let me know. I would love to discuss things more and be given an opportunity.

Thanks so much and can't wait to hear from you!
