Thanks so much for taking the time to read our profile and learn all that we have to offer you, your property and your animals (including pets).

We are a blended family of three - David (56), Keita (43) and, when she is not in Perth visiting her dad, Keita’s daughter Aleria (7) based in the Margaret River region, south west, Western Australia, and would like to house and pet sit locally, although we could be open to other regions in the future.

We are happy to either live in our van and trailer, (ideally with access to toilet and laundry facilities whilst sitting) or live in your house and closer to pets if that is preferred.

We are a non-smoking family with no pets of our own, and are confident and happy to care for all animals, big or small. We are healthy, fit and enjoy tending to yards and gardens. We are capable and diligent when following instructions. We are serious about self-responsibility and see it as a privilege to stay in someone else's home, thereby respecting and honouring all agreements we make.

We sold our house in Margaret River in April 2022 and moved into our small poppet caravan and camper trailer, initially located in the hay shed of a goat farm, to allow our motherland to call us to her. We hold the intention to move in the direction of living debt free, in an intentional community, to co-create a space of love that is paradise on Earth to support life and help make this world a better place for our children's, children's children.

We have a dream for humanity of shared resources and shared responsibility with respect for Boodja (Country) and consideration of all. To regenerate and re-wild derogated land working with natural cycles and self-sustaining practices like permaculture, bio-dynamic and syntropic principles. We will work to perfect the land, dwellings and ourselves through respectful co-creation, co-operation, clear and concise communication, nurturing, learning and growing ourselves and others with joy and positivity.

We are new to housesitting, having recently completed a two week farm sit at an avocado and sheep farm in Forest Grove, including looking after the farm dog and chickens (references available). We are booked in to farm sit for 7 weeks in Dunsborough, including care of the farm animals, during June and early July.

ALERIA - Has been home schooled since pre-primary and for the first 6 years of her life grew up with dogs and chicken (which she spends time with when she visits her dad). She loves all animals, being outdoors, playing with her friends (including the stuffed kind), arts and craft, and cooking. She is adaptable, resilient, good at solving problems, and is generally kind and helpful (like us all she has her moments). There is no set roster when she stays with her dad, and family and friends in Perth, although it is occasionally up to 3 weeks away from us.

KEITA - Currently a home schooling mum and yoga teacher who loves spending time in nature, cooking and gardening. She grew up around many pets, especially dogs, and has had experience looking after and living with large breed dogs. She has owned, renovated, and leased several properties and have been on the other side of house sitting, allowing people to stay in our previous homes during her holidays.

DAVID - David has been actively involved in the Margaret River area for 26 years. He is the father to two grown children, his son living in Cowaramup and his daughter in Perth. He owner built his house and shared the space with many ethnicities for several years. He founded and works part time for iHempWA, a not-for-profit that promotes the industrial hemp industry in WA. He has also worked in various other fields, including at a hemp farm, in the water management team in exploration (FIFO), at a local plant nursery, the MR IGA when it was River Fresh, graphic designer and as a surfing teacher.
