More information about this house sitter

My name is Jay (female), I am 52, single and currently based in Bright Victoria.

I love all animals (especially cats).

Last year I sold my own place in NSW, where I had resided for 25+ years, so I know what it means to have responsibilities and to take care of your own home - I would look after your place in the same way that I did mine.

Sadly, my little guy, Vanyon (see Black Cat) passed away in February 2018, and I miss him daily. He was just shy of his 18th birthday, so it just goes to show how much he was loved and cared for during his time with me. Basically, he was family, and when he passed, life and home wasn't the same without him around.

Anyway, I am a non - smoker. I don't take drugs and I drink only on occasion. I live a pretty clean and healthy lifestyle. I love being in rural and Alpine regions and, lately, I am really craving the quiet of country / rural atmospheres and lifestyles.

I have house sitting experience with my last one being a 4 week house sit in Maintongoon, Victoria, where I looked after 3 beautiful cats and a dog. I am currently doing a 3 month stint in Bright / Porepunkah, until the early September 2022.

Prior to those, I did a 2 week stay in Wandiligong Victoria and before that, a 3 week house sit down in Portarlington, VIC. I sat down there for a lovely couple that I met a little while back while traveling the Alpine regions of Victoria. We kept on running into each other in some of the most out of the way places, and figured out that our friendship was meant to be. So numbers were exchanged. Funnily, a year later during my travels, again, we kept on running into each other in the Victorian Alpine regions (I love how the Universe works).

I have also done shorter stays for family and friends and would be more than happy to provide a reference if needed.

What else can I share?

In 2020 I traveled down to Jingellic, NSW to spend some time with BlazeAid, helping farmers and families restore their fences (and their lives). I immediately felt connected to the place and the people, so much so, that after Jingellic Camp closed, some 6 weeks later, I shipped over the border, and into Victoria and ended up staying on there in Walwa with BlazeAid until mid - December 2020, totalling 4 months of getting up nearly every day to do fencing, and planting new trees etc. What can I say, other than it was one of the most rewarding and enriching experiences of my entire life. And the fact that I made some beautiful connections with people I would have not met otherwise, just made my journey all the more beautiful.

Anyway, that's enough about me for now. If you have any questions that you would like to ask, feel free to get in touch at your convenience.

Thank you and be well.

P.s I don't as yet have a Police Check / Clearance, but if this is something you desire, I will endeavour to hurry the process (I do plan to get one at some stage, it's just that I have been so busy living on the road, looking for home).

Jay ??
