Hi,

So we both come from families of pets and Peter grew up on a farm.

I come from a home of pets. I have had cats, dogs, fish and two turtles and I miss having someone to take care of and take for long walks or stroke while snuggled up on the sofa. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone who cares and I will take care of your pets as if they were my own.

Peter grew up on his grandmas farm and they used to have many animals but after his nan passed away it was mainly dogs, cats and chickens. He has always been great with animals and very handy to have around the house too.

We are conscientious, non-smoking animal lovers and a trustworthy professionals. We understand the dedication and commitment required to look after your pet with the care and attention they deserve. We have pet sat on numerous occasions in Australia however always through private reference (predominantly friends's pets). We are respectful of the owners properties, happy to maintain the garden and any other required maintenance.

I was always a huge admirer of animals and begged my parents for a dog, but was not allowed one until I was 11 (my mum was terrified of dogs as she was bitten by one growing up). Growing up I adopted 7 kittens that I and found abandoned in the forest. Once my parents found out I had to give five of them away, and unfortunately we had to put one down due to a spinal injury. I also adopted a dog which I had for 10 years, his name was Rex. His passing was very difficult and so it was quite some time before we got another dog. Eventually we did, his name was Tiki and we got him from a farm and had him since he was six weeks old. It was the first time I had a dog from such a young age and it was an incredible blessing seeing him grow up. When I came to Australia I did not think I would stay for such a long time, which is why we never brought him over. We left him with my partners parents who loved him dearly, however last year he was hit by a car on a hit and run and passed away in October 2018.

About Us

We were both born in Slovenia, a small country on the sunny side of the Alps, however just before my First birthday we moved to the UK. Growing up we lived between Slovenia and the UK. Most holidays were spent in Slovenia. I read Law at the University of Sussex followed by a Masters of Business Administration (MBA). As part of the program, I enrolled in the exchange programme with QUT (Queensland University of Technology) and did six months of the program in Brisbane, which is what us to Australia.

Meanwhile Peter grew up in Slovenia and did a couple of years of teaching children and Adults snowboarding in Austria. He is a qualified painter. We have been together for 13 years.

We though that we would only stay in Australia for six months, however it did not take us long to completely fall in love with the country, the scenery, natural beauty and people.

It has now been almost 10 years that we have called the Gold Coast home and we have been so lucky to have such a wonderful experience discovering Australia.

We have recently been joined by our daughter. We both absolutley love pets but being from Europe and currently dividing our time between here and Europe we don't think it's the right time to get a dog of our own yet.

Professionally I work as a Causal Academic at a local University and am also the Quality Manager at a Registered Training Organisation which teaches Diploma and Advanced Diploma level Qualifications. I have spent the majority of my working career in education.

Peter has been working in construction for over 15 years and currently works for himself. He is currently thinking of following his passion and would love to go into marine conservation.

We would love to have a dog and a cat, however at this stage in our life we are still planning on travelling before settling down roots. We have pet sat numerous times during these six years and have always loved it, which is why we have decided to try it on a more regular basis.

In our spare time we love to spend time outdoors, camping, travelling, meeting new people, trying new recipes and we are avid follower of the tiny house movement. I am also a qualified Yoga and we are both Snowboarding instructors.

I have a fairly flexible working schedule so I can adapt to the needs of the individual pet. I currently mainly work from home and Peter moves around depending on the job he is on.

We have recently been in Europe for nine months and have welcomed our baby girl to this world.

Our current plan is to save a little so that we can travel for a longer period of time.
