More information about this house sitter

We are a young married couple who love adventures and the outdoors, as well as relaxing with a good book and a cup of tea at home. Tara is Australian, and Tijl is from the Netherlands.

This year we spent 3 months in the Netherlands and we’ve been back in Australia since July. Since then we’ve been house sitting while we look for a place of our own. We have recently house sat for 3 months looking after the owner’s German Shepherd, and in the past we’ve done some casual house sitting for friends who have a property with chooks, a cat, and a garden, and another time for family-friends with a dog and other farm animals. We don't currently have any pets, but have both grown up with pet dogs (Labradors and Border Collies) and cats, and would be happy to look after your pets. We love dogs and taking them for walks!

Before going to the Netherlands we lived on a property north of Newcastle, where Tijl helped manage the property and camp site, which included mowing and maintenance. Tara loves gardening and keeping house plants happy.

Tara has been freelancing as a designer and illustrator for the past 3 years, and Tijl is a full time science high school teacher in Newcastle.

We have references and police checks available at your request, and we do not smoke and are not big drinkers – just an occasional glass of wine or beer.
